The Hidden Gems of Aron Jancso's Type

You should take a look at the work of Áron Jancsó, a passionate letterer and designer who lived in Hungary from 1986 to 2015.

Jancsó once said that “Building from scratch is how I like to work, sometimes even designing every single letter of a poster.” You see the advantages of his bespoke approach to design in his type posters. Using his refined craftsmanship, he placed and manually drew every form to play off the others, building a sense of organized chaos. He drew from a diverse range of inspirations, such as Josef Albers’ geometric typography as well as traditional calligraphic hand lettering.

Everyone should check out his catalogue on Behance!
